Telefónica Research and Development to Work with NMS Communications on New Generation Service Platforms

NMS Communications,  is working with Telefónica Research and Development on the definition of a new service platform for next generation networks (NGN/IMS) featuring NMS’ Open Access™ media processing technology for media gateway connectivity, ranging from traditional voice PSTN networks to all IP networks.

Telefónica Research and Development is a leading innovation company that provides communication services for businesses and consumers, including prepaid-services, ring-back tones service, billing information, missed calls and IVR services. Service platforms is a major Telefónica R&D innovation area where new platform concepts are essential for the development of services with a high differentiation value. Having NMS Communications as one of its partners will empower Telefónica R&D to move toward new multimedia applications for converged and mobile networks.
