Boingo Subscribers Get Wi-Fi Access at over 9,000 McDonalds Restaurants Through Agreement with Wayport

Boingo Wireless Inc., which provides access to the worlds largest network of Wi-Fi hotspots, and Wayport, Inc., a leader in enabling breakthrough network applications, announced a new strategic agreement between the two companies. This agreement will enable Boingo subscribers to access Wayports entire North American network of Wi-Fi hotspots, including over 9,000 Wi-Fi enabled McDonalds (NYSE: MCD) U.S. restaurants.

Now its easier than ever to use your Boingo account on the go, said Dave Hagan, President and CEO of Boingo Wireless. Were excited to extend our agreement with Wayport to include access at participating McDonalds locations to our extensive network.

Boingo gives consumers the best choice of Wi-Fi hotspots by combining over 100,000 locations from more than 150 leading Wi-Fi operators, like Wayport, into one worldwide network. Boingo users can connect to any of these locations with a single Boingo account using Boingos free Wi-Fi client software, which combines more than 660 network names into one Boingo Wireless® network to simplify identifying and connecting to commercial Wi-Fi networks.

We are very pleased to expand our long-standing roaming access relationship with Boingo to include McDonalds, said Dave Vucina, CEO of Wayport. This new agreement both strengthens our commitment to our neutral host strategy as we drive incremental customers to our partner venues like McDonalds, which is a perfect digital destination based on its ubiquity and accessibility.

Wayport is a neutral host, enabling wireless carriers, ILECs, ISPs, device manufacturers and aggregators like Boingo to offer their own branded Wi-Fi experience to their subscribers through Wayport-enabled Wi-Fi locations. Wayports public Wi-Fi access service, one of the many critical applications enabled over the integrated network solution Wayport delivers to clients, supports Wi-Fi access for mobile handsets, laptop computers, PDAs, gaming devices, media players, cameras and other browserless devices. This enables many customers to extend their digital lifestyle by giving them Internet access where they need it most via many of these devices available on the market today.
