Sprint Nextel Corp. named Lazard as appraiser in the put process initiated by Nextel Partners shareholders following the Sprint Nextel merger that closed on Aug. 12, 2005. Nextel Partners previously designated Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated as its appraiser in this process.
