Agilent Technologies Test Solution Selected by
Universal Scientific Industrial to Fulfill
Mobile WiMAX(tm) Test Needs
Agilent Technologies Inc. announced that
Universal Scientific Industrial Co. Ltd. (USI)
will use Agilent’s
WiMAX(tm) manufacturing networking test set for
its Mobile WiMAX test needs. The company chose
Agilent because of its ability to deliver fast
measurement time for USI’s
Mobile WiMAX module test plan requirements. USI
is a leader in the design and manufacturing
services (DMS) industry that focuses on product
development and capability enhancement.
“We chose Agilent
equipment because it delivers greater accuracy,
repeatability and the faster test speeds
required for our Mobile WiMAX test needs,”
said Albert Liu, USI vice president and general
manager of Wireless Product Business Unit.
“Additionally, we
experienced great support and quick response to
our business requirements.”
The Agilent N8300A WiMAX manufacturing
networking test set leverages Agilent’s
experience and success in the WiMAX and WLAN
manufacturing market. Manufacturing engineers
are constantly faced with time-to-market
pressures, while protecting profit potential and
ensuring the shortest possible test times.
Testing high volumes of Mobile WiMAX devices
requires a standard-compliant 802.16e-2005
physical layer test tool. Agilent’s
N8300A one-box parametric WiMAX test set
addresses these challenges.
USI also purchased the Agilent N4010A, a
versatile multiformat wireless connectivity test
solution that can configure Bluetooth(r), ZigBee,
WLAN 802.11a,b,g and 802.11n MIMO applications
in R&D, integration and verification, or
manufacturing. The N4010A offers the flexibility
to measure the latest emerging wireless
standards and increase test efficiency.
“Agilent’s
leadership in Mobile WiMAX manufacturing test
solutions is demonstrated in this significant
success with USI,”
said C.J. Meurell, European operations general
manager for Agilent’s
Mobile Broadband Division’s
WiMAX/WLAN portfolio. “We
are committed to meeting USI’s
critical performance needs, that’s
why we are continually updating our products and
support to keep pace with the demanding
manufacturing requirements for the deployment of
WiMAX.”
