Networks speeds up TIM Brasil’s network with 3G
WCDMA/HSPA
TIM Brasil – one of the largest carriers
in the country – and Nokia Siemens Networks have
signed a contract to deploy and service a WCDMA/HSPA
network, offering high-speed mobile broadband
data services in several Brazilian states of the
South, Northeast and North regions.
Nokia Siemens Networks will be the single 2G/3G
Packet Core Network supplier for the whole
country and the main radio access network
supplier to the states of Rio Grande do Sul,
Paraná, Santa Catarina, Pernambuco, Paraíba,
Alagoas, Rio Grande do Norte, Ceará, Maranhão,
Piauí, Pará, Amazonas, Roraima and Amapá. TIM’s
network will be upgraded with industry-leading
Flexi base stations.
Systems integration and network implementation
services ensure speedy deployment, effective
integration of the new elements and on time
network launch to rapidly expand coverage and
allow TIM to bring new services to its
subscribers. Assisted operations of the network
will help TIM to improve operational performance
and ensure network uptime
The market leading WCDMA Flexi Base Station is
the industry's smallest and most efficient base
station with a unique design and architecture,
and it will allow TIM Brasil to minimize network
deployment and operational costs. The energy
