Blueslice and Cisco Partner on IMS Solution

Blueslice Networks has announced today that their HSS 3000 has completed interoperability testing with Ciscos IMS soft-switch: the Broadband Telephony Service, or BTS 102000.

As IMS increasingly becomes the benchmark for next generation networks, it is becoming even more evident that there is a strong need to evolve subscriber information from legacy HLR to HSS environments. Blueslice, the leading provider of multi-profile subscriber management solutions for the Mobile, VoIP, FMC, and M2M markets, has just what it takes to allow for a seamless transition: the HSS 3000.

The successful interoperability test between both products allows the two companies to work effectively in addressing and targeting emerging IMS market needs with innovative solutions. The creation of an end-to-end solution including subscriber management opens the flood-gates for Cisco, allowing them to penetrate other sectors of the fixed and mobile markets and expanding their service offering while increasing customer loyalty. Furthermore, the systems certification between Blueslice and Cisco accommodates industry standards.

This joint IMS solution comes at a strategic moment in our industry where companies like Cisco and Blueslice can propose best-of-breed, value-driven IMS, and customers are buying into to this new value chain, said Stephan Ouaknine, Blueslice President and CEO.

The systems certification with Blueslices HSS 3000 gives us a go-to-market strategy with an end-to-end solution, said Tony Jeffs, Ciscos Director of Marketing, Services and Mobility Business Unit. This is an exciting opportunity for operators to improve the end user experience while providing operational efficiencies and investment optimization.
