VIVO, Brazil's Largest Mobile Operator, Selects CoreMedia DRM

VIVO, selects CoreMedia DRM for their comprehensive digital content services together with the MMBox/DiNO Platforms, from Portugal Telecom (PT) Inovacao. VIVO is a joint venture of Portugal Telecom and Telefonica Moviles and serves over 30 million customers in Brazil. With CoreMedia DRM and PT Inovacao MMBox/DiNO, VIVO expands its innovative CDMA based content services for trusted multi-channel delivery for its premium content offerings of music and more.

With its comprehensive DRM technology CoreMedia establishes an interoperable "end-to-end trust model" for content distribution on cell phones, PDAs and PCs. CoreMedia DRM offers its comprehensive DRM technology according to the open OMA standards and bridging the OMA DRM with the Windows DRM. In addition CoreMedia incorporates the CMLA specifications in its OMA DRM 2.0 technology.
