China's Zhejiang Unicom Selects ECI Telecom to Expand Its Mobile Network

ECI Telecom, has signed an agreement with Zhejiang Unicom, one of China Unicom's largest subsidiary, to expand its mobile network. This multi-million dollar contract marks another milestone in the long-term relationship of the two companies, who have been working together for several years.

Zhejiang is one of Chinas fastest growing provinces. Zhejiang Unicom's subscriber base of over ten million users demand increasing amounts of bandwidth. By upgrading and expanding its GSM/CDMA network, Zhejiang Unicom will be able to optimize coverage, provide greater capacity and provision new data services, as well as add new subscribers.
