Partner, the technology upgrade at Geek Terminal is
anchored by the Cisco Smart Business Communications
System (SBCS), including Cisco Unified IP (Internet
Protocol) Phones providing access to voice and video
calls and access to café menus and customer bills, as
well as integrated firewall functionality and VPN
connectivity. In addition, Cisco Aironet® 1250 Series
Access Points will provide wireless connectivity, Wi-Fi
certified to the 802.11n draft 2.0 standard.
The patrons and staff of Geek
Terminal can also look forward to added convenience at
their fingertips with unique applications developed by
NexLabs, made available on the Cisco Unified IP Phones.
SMARTEssentials provides users with instant information
through news services and information feeds.
SMARTDisplay allows for dynamic images to be displayed
on the phones, creating unique advertising opportunities
for the café. In addition, SMARTArchitect, a visual
content management system, allows for easy uploading of
images and creation of phone menus, without the need to
write a single line of code.
